25.08.2026 Dissertation Defense of Duan Yinxueat Sumy National Agrarian University

On 25 August 2026, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted the public defence of the dissertation by Duan Yinxue entitled “ESG-Integrated Risk Management of Enterprise Investment Projects” for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Specialty 073 “Management”.

The research was conducted under the academic supervision of Svitlana M. Lukash, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Economics. The dissertation addresses topical issues related to improving the risk management of enterprise investment projects through the integration of ESG principles and the consideration of economic, social, and environmental factors in managerial decision-making.

The Chair of the one-time Specialized Academic Council was Inna V. Sokhan, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Management named after Professor L. I. Mykhailova at Sumy National Agrarian University. The reviewers of the dissertation were Nataliia V. Stoianets, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and Tetiana O. Kharchenko, Doctor of Sciences in Public Administration, Associate Professor.

The official opponents were Inna I. Koblianska, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration at Sumy State University, and Valeriia V. Lymar, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Acting Head of the Department of International Economic Relations and Foreign Policy at Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University.

During the defence, the candidate presented the principal scientific results of the study, substantiated the theoretical provisions and practical recommendations concerning the development of ESG-oriented risk management of enterprise investment projects, and provided comprehensive answers to the questions raised by the members of the Specialized Academic Council.

Following the public defence, the one-time Specialized Academic Council adopted the decision to award Duan Yinxue the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Specialty 073 “Management”.

17.08.2026 Dissertation Defense of Wang Zhijie (Ван Цзіцзе) at Sumy National Agrarian University

On August 17, 2026, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted the defense of the dissertation by Wang Zhijie, entitled “International Migration of Human Resources in the Conditions of Geoeconomic Transformations,” submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Specialty 073 “Management.”

The academic supervisor of the dissertation was Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Olena Slavkova. The Specialized Academic Council was chaired by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Alvina Oriekhova, while Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Nataliia Stoyanets served as the reviewer. The official opponents were Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Tetiana Shkoda, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Inna Irtyshcheva, and Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Viktoriia Medvid.

The dissertation examines contemporary processes of international human resource migration and their interrelationships with geo-economic transformations, labor market changes, and strategic human capital management. During the defense, Wang Zhijie presented the principal scientific findings of the research, substantiated their scientific novelty and practical significance, and provided comprehensive responses to the questions and comments raised by the members of the Specialized Academic Council, the reviewer, and the official opponents.

Following the open voting procedure, the Specialized Academic Council unanimously supported the decision to award Wang Zhijie the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Specialty 073 “Management.”

14.07.2026 Dissertation Defense of Liu Jiren (Люй Цзіжен)

at Sumy National Agrarian University

On July 14, 2026, Sumy National Agrarian University hosted the defense of the dissertation by Liu Jiren, entitled “Strategic Vectors of Corporate Culture Management at Enterprises,” submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Specialty 073 “Management.” The academic supervisor of the dissertation was Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Olena Slavkova.

The Specialized Academic Council was chaired by Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Nataliia Stoyanets. Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Alina Brychko and Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Viktoriia Tkachenko served as reviewers. The official opponents were Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Kostiantyn Bezverkhyi and Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Varaksina.

The dissertation addresses topical issues of strategic corporate culture management and substantiates appropriate directions for its development within the framework of contemporary management science. During the defense, the applicant presented the principal scientific findings of the research, substantiated their scientific novelty and practical significance, and provided comprehensive responses to the questions raised by the members of the Specialized Academic Council.

Following the dissertation defense, the Specialized Academic Council adopted the decision to award Lü Jizhen the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Specialty 073 “Management.”
