The guest lecture on ‘From Manager to Leader,’ held as part of the Faculty of Economics and Management Week, attracted a large number of students, academic staff and college students, demonstrating a high level of interest in contemporary management and leadership issues.
The main speaker was Svitlana LUTSENKO, PhD in Public Administration, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Special Education and Management of the Sumy Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education. Her rich theoretical and practical experience ensured a deep and meaningful exploration of the topic.
The lecture was devoted to the critically important transformation of the management paradigm: the transition from a traditional manager (who relies on authority, control and job descriptions) to an effective leader (who inspires, motivates, shapes vision and develops a team).
The communication took place in the format of a lively discussion. Participants actively asked questions, discussing real cases from practice and mechanisms for implementing leadership qualities in their professional activities. Practical advice on self-development of leadership potential was of particular interest.
Such events are an integral part of the educational process, as they provide a unique opportunity to combine academic knowledge with relevant practical experience from leading industry experts.
The Department of Management named after Professor L.I. Mikhailova expresses its sincere gratitude to Svitlana LUTSENKO for her professionalism and willingness to share her knowledge and plans to continue holding a series of guest lectures with the participation of expert practitioners.
